Talking with the Field Bindweed

A poem by Mediana Stan,  illustrated by Szitai György-Ferenc, translated by Rafael Manory

Field bindweed, little white stars
Climbing up the curtain bars
Open and c’ose, open round
The Mouse can hear the sound!

Breathes a field bindweed flower
Clasps his nose and embowers,
He pulls out the flower with a pop
The petals dilate and flop.

- I have been old but all the same
I would like to play the game...
From now on, what one really needs
Is to have a wife and kids…
